Thomas.
“True education is not measured by the knowledge a student acquires, but by the depth of their understanding, the independence of their thinking, and the confidence with which they engage with the world.”
Meet Our Founder.
Thomas Riddle, Founder and Head Teacher of Tom’s English Academy, brings over a decade of experience in English language education. His passion for teaching is rooted in the belief that every student deserves an individualized learning experience.
Through personalized instruction, he strives to inspire confidence, cultivate critical thinking, and empower students to become independent, articulate, and lifelong learners.
An Educational Journey Built on Purpose.
Throughout his professional career, Thomas Riddle has taught thousands of students across Asia, including Taiwan, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and the Philippines. His experience working with established English language education companies has provided him with valuable insight into diverse educational systems, learning expectations, and cultural backgrounds.
Through years of online and in-person instruction, Thomas developed a deeper understanding of the challenges students face when learning English. These experiences reinforced his belief that effective education requires more than standardized curricula; it demands adaptability, individual attention, and a genuine understanding of each learner’s needs.
Drawing upon this extensive international teaching experience, Thomas founded Tom’s English Academy with a commitment to making high-quality, personalized English education more accessible while maintaining the highest standards of teaching and student development.
Beyond the Classroom:
A Personal Commitment to Education
For Thomas Riddle, teaching has always been more than a profession. It is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others by helping students develop the confidence, knowledge, and independence necessary to achieve their personal and academic aspirations.
Throughout his career, Thomas has found his greatest professional fulfillment in witnessing the progress of his students, from overcoming their initial hesitation to express themselves in English to becoming confident and capable communicators.
He believes that a teacher’s responsibility extends beyond delivering lessons or measuring academic performance. True education involves recognizing each student’s potential, encouraging independent thought, and fostering a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Above all, Thomas remains guided by a simple conviction: the greatest measure of an educator’s success is not merely what students learn, but who they become through the process of learning.
